Wellness Retreat with Wild Swimming in The Lake District – in May 2023

What’s happening?

It’s kind of a dream for me…I’ve always fancied taking part in running some kind of retreat and now – guess what, I am! I am honoured to be taking part in this inspirational women-only retreat, delivering 121 coaching there. Caroline and Ainsley have lovingly created the event.

The Resilience Retreat is an immersive, transformational experience for women who want to go from stressed to refreshed. We are running two retreats in May 2023, the dates are:

Monday 15th May – Thursday 18th May 2023
Thursday 18th May – Sunday 21st May 2023

The retreat is a blend of psychology, yoga, reflection, open water swimming, fell-walking, personality profiling workshops, stress and resilience workshops, and practical tools and techniques for living your best life.

More about the retreat

The retreat combines the skills of resilience expert Caroline Dakin, who has over 10 years of experience in the field of resilience, and Ainsley Harris, a qualified yoga instructor. They welcome a diverse group of women who may:

  • Feel they are heading for burnout and need to stop and take back control of their life
  • Feel like they need a clear plan to re-assess their life and set some powerful actions and goals
  • Feel unfulfilled or unhappy in their current role but are too busy to take action
  • Need the time and space to step out of their busy lives and set time aside for them – this retreat is the ultimate form of self-care

Whatever your needs, you will leave the retreat with clarity, focus, and a renewed motivation for your life. Ainsley’s classes are for all bodies and all abilities. A full sweaty betty outfit is not required, just comfortable clothes. Ainsley is very experienced in accommodating different injuries. There are challenges and modifications in each class and the pre-course questionnaire will ensure that you find the yoga classes accessible and enjoyable. The group size will be between 10 and 12 to ensure that we can give a personalized and relevant retreat experience to all participants.

The group will be made up of like-minded women who are there to support each other. They encourage you to take part in all the activities as this will ensure you get the most out of your retreat experience. However, they want everyone who attends to feel comfortable as this is your time so ultimately it is always completely your choice. All participants will receive follow-up support by phone and email. You will receive printed materials to help you embed the learning.

You will also be given access to ‘Resilient You’ which is an online course delivered by Caroline Dakin to ensure that you are able to continue your resilience journey. In addition, you will receive follow-up yoga videos to continue your practice at home. The retreat is for anyone who wants to reduce their current stress levels and needs to improve their current levels of motivation and life direction. The group will all be like-minded, and they ensure a relaxed, inclusive atmosphere for everyone.
